Ship First, Improve Later
I used to think it was important to refine everything until perfection. Or if not perfection, at least my personal satisfaction. However, in this case, I want a website with a blog. But to get the site live I need to configure some stuff, and have text on all pages. I do have some blogposts in prep, but I don’t need to have a finished blogpost before I go live with the site. And it is a waste of time to first publish a site with the blog disabled and then readd it later.
I learned in the last year that sometimes it is more important to have something done quick than to have something done perfectly. So in this case, it’s better to have my website live asap, than to have it live with a real blogpost, or even some respectable number of blogposts.
